Pastavilla plant, a member of the Koç Group, was founded by İsmail Hakkı Ulukartal in Kemeraltı/İzmir with a production capacity of 500 kg pasta /day.
The company moved to its present location in Bornova. The factory covers 18.000 m2 of closed area.
Start of investments to increase capacity of mile to 300 tons wheat/day and the capacity of pasta production to 200 tons/day.
It became a joint-stock company and was registered as Ulukartal Makarnacılık Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.
The company brought a new dimension to Turkish pasta sector. With the brand PASTAVILLA, it presented pasta lovers high quality pasta, which also was different in taste from the traditional pasta in Turkey.
Pasta with the brand name Lunch & Dinner was presented to the consumers. The name of the Company was changed to "Pastavilla Kartal Makarnacılık Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş." as to create a harmony with the name of the brands.
All shares of the Company were acquired by Koç Group. After Pastavilla's acquisition by Koç Group, Düzey Pazarlama A.Ş. which is also the member of the same Group took over the distribution of our products.
Pastavilla Makarnacılık A.Ş. was announced as the 59th biggest company in Aegean Region by ISO. Pastavilla A.Ş. received the ISO 9002 Certificate.
With the brand name "PASTAVILLA JUNIOR", the company produced Turkey's first pasta especially for children. It presented special shapes for kids.
The title of the company was changed to "Pastavilla Makarnacılık Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş."
Pastavilla Makarnacılık A.Ş. opened its shares to public for sale and achieved the reputation as the first pasta producer that was opened to public.
Pastavilla has been incorporated with the brands of Tat, Sek and Maret within Tat Konserve Sanayii A.Ş.
